CAMBRIDGE - Frances Viola (Dauphinee) Ricci, 86, a resident of Cambridge for 65 years, died at the Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007.

She was the wife of Daniel J. Ricci.

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Ezma Dauphinee.
Mrs. Ricci was a homemaker.

Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Daniel J. Ricci Jr. of Texas; a daughter, Theresa M. Belliveau of Mendon; a sister, Dorothy Meyers of Littleton; a brother, Calvin C. Dauphinee of Florida; six grandchildren, and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from the Keefe Funeral Home (keefefuneralhome.com), 2175 Massachusetts Ave., North Cambridge, Monday, Feb. 19, at 9 a.m.

A funeral Mass will be held in St. John Church, Cambridge, at 10.
Burial will be in Cambridge Catholic Cemetery.

CORKUM, Gerald Ross CORKUM, Gerald Ross - Halifax, died at home July 18, 1999. Born in Chester, January 4, 1916, to the late Perry and Jessie (Misener) Corkum. Mr. Corkum was a graduate from the Provincial Normal College and taught school in East Chester and Mushaboom. During the Second World War, he worked for the federal government in censorship, and following the war at the Halifax North Postal Station for 38 years. During his retirement he enjoyed music, gardening and reading, and was an adherent of St. Margarets of Scotland Church. He is survived by sons, David Corkum, Dartmouth; Philip Corkum, Los Angeles; his wife, Shirley (Annand), Halifax; sisters, Audrey Summerville, Bridgewater; Cornelia Peppin, Fredricton; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Constance; brother, Lawrence. Cremation to take place and a private family burial will be at St. Alban's Columbariun, All Saint's Cathedral 4 p.m. Thursday. Memorial service 7 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at St. Margarets of Scotland Church, Robie Street, Canon David Boston officiating. The family will greet friends in the narthax following the service, and request no flowers. Memorials may be given to St. Margarets of Scotland Church or to charity of your choice.

"OSCAR HENRY GODDARD

Funeral service for the late Oscar Henry Goddard of Wordsworth, aged 65 years, 3 months, 19 days, were held in the Wordsworth United Church on Thursday January 11 with the Rev. S. Edecumbe officiating.

During the service three hymns were sung; 'Rock of Ages', 'Nearer My God, to Thee' and' Safe in the Arms of Jesus'. Interment was in West Carlyle Cemetery.

Mr. Goddard was born on September 20, 1885 in Westmorland Co., New Brunswick and came west in 1924, settling at Wordsworth where he had since resided. He was married in 1916 and had ten children; five boys and five girls. He leaves in addition to his widow to mourn his loss, four sisters living in the United States and his daughters Mrs. F. Peters of Fort William, Mrs. E. Aspinal of North Portal, Mrs. A. Brown of Alameda and Mildred and Joyce at home. Five sons, Robert at Edmonton, Calvin at Browning and Irving, Richard and Charles in Wordsworth and five grandchildren."

Richard Stanley Goddard passed away on July 11 at Fort San, Saskatchewan.

The son of the late Oscar Goddard and Mrs. Mabel Goddard, Richard was born at Wordsworth, Saskatchewan November 7, 1929.

He leaves to mourn his passing his mother, four brothers and five sisters: Irving of Wordsworth; Calvin of Maryfield; Robert of Edmonton; Charlie of Winnipeg; Mrs. Fred Peters of Fort William Ont.; Mrs. Earl Aspinal of North Portal Sask.; Mrs. Andrew Brown, Carlyle; Mrs Carman Ulrich, Lampman, Sask.; and Mrs. Ernest Pennington, Nashville, Tennesee and a host of friends.

The funeral service was held on July 14 in Wordsworth church. Rev. Chester Roset of North Portal officiated. Interment was made at West Carlyle Cemetery.

Margaret often placed flowers on her father's gravesite. She had the Meisner headstones sandblasted about 15 years ago so that the names could be more easily read.

MEISSNER, Margaret Kathleen - 87, Chester, passed away March 15, 2000, in the Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Veteran's Unit, Lunenburg, where she had received loving care since March 1996. Born in Big Tancook Island, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late Edgar S. and Eldora C. (Young) Meisner. Margaret graduated from Provincial Normal College, Truro in 1933. Her long teaching career interrupted only by three years, seven months in the Royal Canadian Air Force. She retired from Park School, Dartmouth in 1965. Survived by her sister, Phyllis, Chester; several cousins. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, Chester. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday in St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Chester, Rev. Sean A. Taylor and Rev. Robert H. Coote, Unit Chaplin, officiating. Burial in St. Stephen's Church Cemetery. In appreciation of the excellent care given to Margaret in the Veteran's Unit, donations in her memory may be sent to Veteran's Unit, Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, P.O. Box 1184, Lunenburg, B0J 2C0, to provide items of comfort for veterans there or to a charity of choice. "

MEISNER, Phyllis Irene - 83, Chester, died October 7, 2003, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Chester, she was a daughter of the late Edgar S. and Eldora C. (Young) Meisner. She was retired after many years of service with the Bank of Montreal in Montreal and Main Branch, Halifax. She was a faithful member and choir member of St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Chester; a former member of Sweet Adelines, Halifax. Phyllis led a very active social life with her many friends and especially enjoyed family picnics on Woody Island. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Phyllis is survived by her many cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Kathleen. Visitation 2-5 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, Chester. Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Father Jim McCorriston officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Donations may be made to the S.H.A.I.D. Animal Shelter, Bridgewater, St. Stephen's Anglican Church or a charity of choice.
